I want to buy a new monitor for gaming and I dont know which kind of display is better for gaming. I stopped at these 2 mintors:
1. Monitor LED IPS LG 23", Wide, Full HD, DVI, HDMI,23EA63V-P
2. Monitor LED Asus 23.6", Wide, Full HD, DVI, HDMI, VS247H-P
Which of these 2 do you think is better for gaming?

the LG monitor has standardish input delay(5ms) up to 75hz stock
the asus monitor has lower input delay(2ms gray to gray), up to 75hz stock

general rule of thumb, "gaming" branded monitors generally are TN panels, as they typically have lower input delay and generally have higher refresh rates(e.g 120hz/144hz monitors). IPS monitors have better color quality and better viewing angles

A follow up on Dudewitbow's response, Yes, IPS has way better color quality, but some midrange IPS displays are equal to a apple TN panel thats been finely tuned. Unless you plan on playing 3D games, I would suggest the IPS, as 5ms response time isn't really that bad as with 1ms response time on a TN panel, chances are, you still have a bottleneck, and the IPS monitor is going to look way better with ultra settings vs a standard TN.

TL;DR: Go for 70-100HZ 5ms or lower IPS monitor for best quality.

IPS has richer colour, but TN is designed to have better response times. My honest suggestion would be to "rent" them (buy and return) if possible and see the difference. I'd be curious to know - lots of IPS say stuff like 5ms, but that's the same as my TN that I game on, so....
