Get the 7870 ghz edition. It's the same price as the 7870, but the 7870 ghz is also known as the 7870XT, it is essentially a 7950 with some cores disabled.

Look at the numbers on the GHZ model vs the other two: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/5158/sapphire_radeon_h...

The 7850 and 7870 originally were based on Pitcairn. The 7950 and 7970 were based on Tahiti. The 7870XT also uses Tahiti. It is a better GPU.

chumly you are very confused. All 7870s are GHz (their stock clock speed is 1000MHz). A 7870 xt was made that is basically a cut down 7950.

I'm not wrong, sir, you are wrong. They are NOT the same. They are two VERY different GPUs.

Google Tahiti LE.

This one: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Mini-Displayport-PCI-Exp...

IS NOT a GHZ model.

Maybe all that they have for sale on ONE particular website may be, but otherwise you are very wrong sir.

I said the xt wasn't Ghz edition.

"but the 7870 ghz is also known as the 7870XT"

That was from your first comment. the Ghz and xt are two entirely different cards. One is Tahiti and one is Pitcairn.
