About 6 months ago my ISP gave me this router for free - don't have any other routers - it was fine for the beginning but shortly after we've began experiencing problems with the router;

When a smartphone is connected to the wi-fi, the internet speed decreases incredibly. Sometimes when this happens I can't even access the admin panel, would have to wait for a minute or two!

When a smartphone connects to the router via wifi, the connection range goes bananas, I would have to move around to get a good connection every now and then.

I tried several solutions I've found on the internet but didn't do much good.

Does anyone have any idea about how to solve such issues?

Devices connected to the router;
- Sony VPCF1 Laptop Win7
- HP Netbook Win8
- Samsung Galaxy Note 2
- Sony Laptop Win7

That router isn't even listed on the TP-Link website or Amazon. So it's probably one made only for distribution by ISPs. And if so, it's probably a crappy router anyway. Might be time to invest in a decent replacement. It doesn't have to be fancy or very expensive either, not if you have modest needs. They've been dumping inexpensive wireless N routers at lot lately, some as little as $20 USD. Almost anything is probably far better than what your ISP gives you.
