One of my previous RAM sticks were faulty - this occurred over a month, I used to get the occasional BSOD but they because more frequent until my PC couldn't run unless I took the faulty RAM module out.
I RMAd the RAM, my new RAM works fine, but I just had a random BSOD, I tried memtest and there are no errors at all. I haven't updated the motherboard drivers on this drive but I'm wondering if which faulty components can damage what other hardware - providing everything is on stock settings.
