I have Cooler Master extreme power RS-460-PCAR-D3 460W PSU and someone from this forums suggested me to not to buy gtx 650ti boost coz of my PSU and they suggested me to buy hd 7790 instead as it consumes less power compare gtx 650 ti boost. But i want a better card then hd7790 but i cant change my PSU as its out of my budget right know. Is there is any other alternative that can run fine on my PSU ? And that should be better then HD 7790

Hello... any Video card that is overclocked or boosted, will have higher power comsumption vs performance gained... but modern cards have lower power needs vs performance now... the HD 7790 is rated at 85 watts... I would suggest up to 175 watt rated video card HD 7870 with your power supply... How hard you push the graphics card with settings and programs, will determine what your video card will draw from your power supply.

Hello... How hard you push the graphics card with settings and programs, will determine what your video card will draw from your power supply... A nvidia card I suggest GTX 760 or GTX 670... 170 watts rated... ALL specs are on WIKIpedia on each brand and series of cards...

Hello... How Electronic parts go bad is simply from heat.... Keep good air cooling in your case, power supply, video card. etc... and you will be fine at a 170 watt card... do you have alot of other things plugged into your power supply? If you are a guy thats wants ULTRA EVERYTHING, then a more powerfull supply, in your future, will ease your comfort ZONE... But get a great card for now and worry about the power to it later.

hello... If you are a guy thats wants ULTRA EVERYTHING, then a more powerfull supply, in your future, will ease your comfort ZONE... I'm a Nvidia man so... the numbers on the card look good for the hd 7850 at that price.

ASUS Graphics Card HD7850-DC-1GD5

is 124.99 $ is right for this card ? or its cheap or fishy ? because for such heavy card , price seems low

Hello... everything starts to look cheap here this time of year... search on Newegg.com that same card and look at the reviews on it... there are some bad cooling designs on some cards, and bad construction... so always check reviews before buying anything!!!

But will it be save to have hd 7850 with my PSU 460 Watt ?

Best solution

I dont have budget to power supply , is it necessary to buy psu ? I think my power supply is sufficient to handle hd 7850.
