Android Game devs just greedy...

Is it just me or are there really almost no games worth playing on android that don't have a cash shop, and practically force you to use it. I've played quite a number of games and it's sad even the single players are like this...

Is this really the bright future we can expect from developers for games. The most mobile platform that has unlimited potential for gaming is driven from complete greed. Most games that started out great are now also cash shop crap. Even games I've paid for have cash shops that require even more money.

When can we expect major companies to actually get involved and re-direct this disaster? I've seen many expensive tablets that look great for gaming, but yet the gaming is just not sufficient.. by any means...

I'd expect a little better by now. From the appearances of some of these games, clearly phones and tablets have the power to handle decent games..

So, where are these games at?

Major companies will not redirect this issue, but rather join this industry because of this greed.

I can understand all 3 parties here.

I understand that the more advanced user who wants to enjoy a free game, is upset with the "pay 2 win" feature.

I understand indie developers that they want to make a living of their game development, and obviously it seems to work with all those in game cash systems to buy coins to unlock more features of the game. As long as users buy in game coins for real cash, developers will continue making games like this.

I also understand that more and more big publishers like Activision and EA are joining this industry because they see the potential and as a corporation, your only goal is to make as much profit as possible to satisfy your shareholders.

I think if you want to play real games, stay away from mobile/tablet games and go for PC or consoles. And if you do want mobile games, you simply have to pay for a full version to not be bothered with those in game shops/pay 2 win features.

Did I say free? When did I say free? I'd gladly pay 10-20 to play a game worth while on my phone. The method that has worked for years with console and PC...
In fact the only p2w games on PC are usually pretty low in reviews..

If the game was well made, as one could be for android. I'm sure people would gladly pay that one time cost, but to push every penny they can. That just becomes discouraging..

I think the big picture here is, there's a lot of people that can't afford to buy a decent gaming PC or barely a console. While mobile phones are getting cheaper, assuming you hold a contract or you can buy one a year old for about $200, that has specs just slightly under brand new models... Basically, it's cheaper to manage being able to play any game on this mobile platform than PC. But, we can't forget that the mobile platform is in far more people's hands than that of computers or consoles.

So, I really have to wonder why honestly this P2w model is working so well for phones, and has barely been adopted for any other system other than by very obvious greedy companies and developers. The MMORTS genre very much defines just how bad this model is.

Why is no one at least trying a different model? game cost: $15. In-game cash shop, cosmetic goods. Nothing with a game bonus in the cash shop. Even playing field.
Add a monthly fee with of course reasonable stuff including.

It's worked for every other damn system, why not this one?

I refuse to spend another dime on a mobile game. I'll be among the few in the world already dedicated to doing a boycott against this. If only I had a strong enough voice to cast among people to get them to do the same.
