Old Hardrive on my new computer?

is it safe to put my old hardrive into my new computer?
I literally got new everything except my hard drive, I want to keep this hard drive because it has all my games on it etc but if it's not safe I will buy a new one.

If the drive contains your OS, you'll most likely need to reinstall your OS and programs/games. Even if it doesn't contain your OS, you will still need to reinstall all your games and programs anyhow.

You can always install it, reformat it, and use it as a storage drive. just be sure to copy any necessary files off it before formatting it, like you game saves.

You can however if you intend the hard drive to be your operating system too, then you might have to re-activate windows as its hardware specific. Personally i would go for a SSD
