Every time i power on my acer aspire one i get these warnings: "media test failure, check cable" and "no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" doing some research i found most people saying is my BIOS screwed up and to make sure the boot priorities are right, i've put what i think is my hard drive first but the same error appears, here is a list of the boot priority orders i have them in, what order are they supposed to be in?
1. HDDO:
2:ATAPI CDROM:
3.USB FDD:
4.USB CDROM:
5.USB HDD:
6. Network boot: realtek PXE B01 DOO

Usually in bios boot listing you should see the label of the hard drive beside HDD. Indicating the hard drive that its going to boot from. My Acer has this, and if the hard drive is messed up, the BIOS won't see it.

Check your system summary screen, ensure it sees the hdd.

thankyou for the system summary suggestion i hadnt thought of that, in the summary it says "HDD model name : None" so i assume im right in saying the hard drive is corrupt or disconnected?
