gtx760 worth more money that AMD 7870 or r9 270x ?

Hello, i' building my new pc, and there is this thinking- for example in bf4 , or crysis 3 those cards perform almost the same , but AMD costs ~50$ less in my country. plus in the future, i guess most games will be better optimized for AMD video cards. What do you think guys? Will ~40-50 $ make big difference? Thanks!

well yes the gtx 760 is def better than the 7870 thats clear. and when overclocked is a beast. id know i own one,

Plus, in my country 50$ is like 140$ for you , if you know what i mean, couse economics and wages are lot lower, and electronics costs more than in USA.

well if u can afford it get a 760. if not a r270x or 7870 will do good

did you have any of AMD cards? how do you compare, that 760 is the beast and 7870 not? By the way we're talking about 2gb 760? Anyway, i guess that at the end, performance of 760 will still run games better than slower 7870 but with optimization for it..?

the 760 is faster then the 7870/270x... it's really a competitor of the HD 7950.

Check out some great deals on 7950's and 7970's now that AMD has release its next series of cards.

However, you mention the inflated cost of computer components and your economic situation, so unless you expect to crank up every setting on every new game, the 7870 should do just fine.

not sure what the prices are where others are but here in the united states the lowest I've seen for a 670 is $219 and for a 760 is $229... while the 7870ghz edition is $110. that is a monstrous price difference. i suspect the $139 price for the 7870LE will come back soon as it was on a couple weeks ago and a 7870LE is pretty much equal to a 660ti give or take and not too far behind the 670/760. with 7950's as low as $160 and 7970's as low as $230... i feel all the new rebadges 760/770/270x/280x are very bad values.

If your getting a 760 play close attention to what you're getting.

Currently the MSI N760 Hawk is probably the most top notch 760 out there but! if you're willing to pay that much you could always look towards an R9 280x

Well for starters..
Hawk a clock of 1111Mhz Asus has a clock of 1006 Mhz
Hawk has a custom PCB and a blackplate. Asus just has a custom PCB
Hawk has way bigger fans compared to ASUS
Hawk has a dual bios, which in turn boosts the voltage for clocks up to 1.4Ghz I belive.

Only thing is I belive Direct CU II(Which ASUS has) im not sure if its better, worse or on part with the TF cooling.

Buy whatever is cheaper. Half of the sites I see have the nvidia card benchmarking higher, the other half have the 270x benchmarking higher. The disinformation is limitless.

Well the reviews say that card has been crashing alot and is pretty unstable.. so idk.. If I were you I'd get the 760 Hawk alot better quality built. Though you could always take a hunch and get that 7950

i think. 7870 is more in his budget. the gigabyte 760 oc is quite nice. and ya a good 7950 would be nice. but at his budget the 270x or 7870 is his best bet.

I guess we should be comparing cheapest 760 (asus) , and middle 7870 then, because hawk is a bit to pricey.

It is quite pricey. It's the better investment though if you want a 760. IF you go for the cheap stuff that'll have you having to buy a new GPU more sooner. How much is the hawk at where you live?

Oh my gosh.. you have to pay that much for a 760? thats the price of a 770. The MSI Gaming is pretty good. but a bit less features than the hawk. Though to clock is pretty high compared to other 760s. You should get that if you can't get the hawk
