I currently have a Azza hurricane 2000 which comes default with 2 240mm intakes, 2 120mm intakes and 4 120mm outputs, combined with an fan heatsink for the CPU. All of these produce a really noticeable amount of sound, any advice on how to make it quieter without risking overheating?

unless you've OCed the hell out of it... you could try unplugging all but 1 of the 240 mm intakes, and 2 of the 120mm exhaust fans and see if that helps... that is a whole lot of air unless you're pushing your oc really high that is crazy overkill.

Install a multichannel fan controller so that you can control the speed of the fans.

Nope, I haven't oc'd it at all, just left it at default speeds. (i7-960 + HD 6950)

yeah thats way too many fans, try using less fans, if that doesn't help like Ko said get a fan controller and slow them down a bit. if that doesn't work, buy quieter fans... so in essences put our answers together.

though I do have to wonder why one buys a case called hurricane then is suprised when the wind noise is loud :)  lol j/k
