I wanna upgrade my cpu to a intel i7 3770k. My main concern is the motherboard and power.

Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme3 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Ram: 12gb's
Gpu: Amd Radeon 7850
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Black Steel
Psu: 620w seasonic bronze.
Hardrive: 1tb seagate barracuda.

Is my motherboard compatible with the cpu and does my power supply have provide enough power for everything to run properly?
Thanks!

Okay, so you are looking to buy a motherboard and CPU?

You can stick with the z87 Extreme 3 and get an i7-4770k, though I would recommend the Extreme 4 just for a little more in terms of features. There are similar Z77 boards from ASRock that will accept the 3rd gen chips like the i7-3770k.

The i7-3770k and i7-4770k are about $320, any particular need for hyperthreading, or do you just want the best available? The regular quad core versions are $100 less, the i5-4670k and the i5-3570k.

Ah i see. Could you recommend a motherboard to me that would best fit my cpu and other components? I've never been good at telling a bad motherboard from a good one. Thanks!
