Win 7, Home Premium, 64

Every time I reboot my machine I get an Event 3, Kernel-Event Tracing Error: "Session "UBPM" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000022" and a companion "Session "Eventlog-Security" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000022". All that I have found out is that UBPM is the Unified Background Process Manager and is used as necessary for certain tasks. So far I have not experienced any problems but maybe I just haven't done something that will require it. This started when I had a data drive (not same drive as C) begin to fail and cause problems with windows booting. Once I replaced the data drive Windows booted ok, but with some odd problems as this and including Event 25, volsnap errors which I have posted in another thread.

Would appreciate some help in resolving this problem. Thanks.

Sorry, my mistake. I read right past your parenthetical text. I think I still need to wake up! Since the drive is only a data drive, and you suspect your Windows malfunctions began after replacing the failing drive, is it possible to test the computer for a few hours with the new data drive disconnected, and see if it really is related?

The bad drive was not the system drive but a data drive. I did not have to recover the system drive. When I replaced the data drive, windows began to boot but with these problems.

Thanks bigpinkdragon. It is interesting because I actually was experiencing problems with windows while the drive was failing and as a result of the drive failing. It took me a while to figure out that the problem was the data drive. I was getting event 11's but not sure what drive it was on. I ran Burnin test to test all components and HDTune, Crystal Disk, and WinDFT on the drives (no problems with the system drive, an ssd) and finally came to conclusion after testing the drive several times that it was the data drive and i ordered a replacement. Windows was booting fine, then really slow, and finally wouldn't boot at all. As soon as I replaced the data drive windows booted just fine and I just recently discovered these problems that started when the disk had begun to fail. If you're not experiencing any problems and don't check the event log, you don't know if anything is wrong.

I can certainly retest with Burnin with and without the data drive. I am thinking software because some other application config files were corrupted but I was able to recover them from earlier backups. This has been a very strange problem. I have had drives fail before but never with these consequences.
