My system is running a MSI G$1M-P26 maimboard, with two 2048 DDR3-SDRAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 video card.

Recently I installed a new Toshiba DT01ACA100 ATA 1000 GB hard drive. The system worked fine for about two days and then yesterday it froze up. When I attempted to reboot it wouldn't beep and the monitor showed no signal, even though the machine was on and the fans were spinning.

I removed 1 RAM stick and it worked again. Then I removed the other and put back in the first and it worked. I tried both sticks individually in both ports and it worked. Only when both were put in together does it stop working.

I would appreciate any help with this. I'm a real novice when it comes to this stuff. If you need more info I will be happy to provide it.

The RAM is not mixed match. They are two identical sticks from the brand Kingston. They were working fine together for some time. I'm not sure what is happening now.
