I mainly just want to upgrade from 1600x900 to 1920x1080.

Currently looking at those two monitors. Other than the stated contrast ratios (which I read were all useless), what's the difference? I'm not exactly well versed in monitors.

As such, other than being 1920x1080, I really have no preference of size. Although I'd rather it be made by Samsung, Asus, or Dell, that's just who I like my monitors from.

Any thoughts?

The main difference is one has built in speakers. The difference in price is about 10$ which points to this (pre-sale price). The big difference in the sale price would be Newegg's decision (one I only 30$ off the other 80$). Both decent reviews and similar (other than contrast ratio) performance. Buy the cheaper one and save some $$ :)
