I just want to know if im getting the best bang for the buck etc. I have about $100 or so extra to use so but I dont see what it could be good for. Would rather just keep it for games.

I want a computer for gaming and one that will just last me in general.

Some other questions:

[$170] Asus VE248H 24.0" Monitor vs [$110] Asus VE247H 23.6" Monitor

[~$75] Cooler Master Storm QuickFire Rapid vs [$50] Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Wired Gaming Keyboard

(very small and little features but mechanical) vs (lots of features lighting, and full sized keyboard, not mechanical)

Other than that just give me recommendations for maybe cheaper or a little better maybe (GPU's, CPU's, ram, MOBO

I have windows 7 os, a dvd burner, and mouse.

If you're going to microcenter for the processor anyway you might as well do their cpu/motherboard combo. They're almost always running some kind of 40 or 50 dollars off special if you buy the CPU and mobo together. You can combo that with buying a motherboard that has a mail-in rebate and save a lot of money.

This is also pretty minor but unless you're doing some pretty heavy overclocking the stock cooler works just fine. If you're absolutely dead set on getting a CPU cooler the 212 series is the best out there but they're large and unwieldy and can have issues with certain cases.

Also - don't skimp on the power supply. You'll appreciate having a good PSU a few years down the line. The top of the line ones can even be safely...

Here is what Im confused on.I know when you have 2 different drives they show up as 2 different drives on under computer.

That could get annoying cause everything would save onto my SSD and it would get full all the time (unless I selected a different location for every program which seems like a pain.)

It looks like this particular deal (which was GREAT) just expired, but honestly with black friday/cyber monday coming up you'll be able to find a deal like this quite easily.

Ok so im thinking drop the heatsink -$35 and add on a bigger PSU 850w:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151108&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

I dont see any special for mobo and cpu combo deals unless its for a diffrent mobo.

But tbh these parts altogether require 443 watts of power which leaves 177 leftover.

Microcenter is literally always running that deal - just ask them when you get to the store. It'll apply to any mobo that works with the 4670k.

As for the power supply bigger or higher wattage =/= higher quality. Seasonic are the best out there and you want japanese capacitors like they use but upgrading to just a bigger PSU isn't going to make too huge a difference. I'd recommend going into their higher build quality line that's 80 PLUS gold/platinum certified. The gold/platinum rating itself isn't really indicative of TOO much but in Seasonic's case their PSUs with the best build quality like the X line are gold/platinum anyway. A better power supply with lower wattage will often outperform a higher wattage power supply. I can't seem to find any discounts right now but for roughly the same price you can get one of their 600-700 watt gold/platinum PSUs. I'd find one for you but newegg is unbelievably slow right now for some reason.

So ill just order everything , pickup up the mobo and cpu from microcenter, and wait for some psu units to show up for black friday. If something shows up il just return my $70 620 watt psu.

Decided to get this PSU unit. It will end up being around $85. Im keep the cooler and microcenter is selling the motherboard I want for $70 on black friday if I buy it with the processor. Normally its $114 with the processor.
