Hi, today i build a pc, but when i tried to turn it on, only all the fans started, and only for half second, and after that it shut down.
What can it be? it's the first time that I build a pc, it's possibile that i did something wrong?

Please check this list to see if anything has been missed. Many steps do not technically apply to you, but it never hurts to be sure.

My guess would be a short from a misplaced standoff OR something plugged into a jumper location(led plugged to a switch location for instance or any other short).

Break that system down so only the cpu(with its cooler), 1 stick of memory and the video card are connected(no hard drives/ssds/odds or usb devices even for now) because a defect in other parts can also cause a power supply to shut off like that. If you get it going, add parts one at a time.

I read all the list, and the only two things in the least that could be are point 2 and 3,but for the point 2 i don't think, beacause i have a motherboard with the new socket 1150. Actually i can't control the name of the motherboard, but i think that it is this: msi B85-G41 PC Mate
tomorro i'll control for the third point, and for the things that you said :)

Sounds like something is shorting out. Check throughout your case and make sure all the connecters are properly plugged into one another, especially the fans. Sometimes, the molex connecter can get pushed out a bit.

FIRST carefully undo everything you did. Place motherboard on a piece of wood. Reseat the CPU, then MEMory, if it does not have onboard video insert video card, wire it to the case power button, and then carefully plug in all the PSU connections. Press power, does it boot to BIOS (the text display?) if not then power off, reseat everything again. If there is any problems the computer gives a series of beeps, short and long, based on your included motherboard manual will tell you on boot up what part is having problems. If there is no beeps and there is no success then you fried a part (static electricity/bad connecting of parts) and will have to replace the parts.
