Controlling fan setup

Hello everyone,

I'm currently building a system in a corsair 900d with 4 pwm radiator fans and 8 pwm case fans.

The airflow will look roughly like this:

My question concerns the method by which I would control the fans.

I was thinking about using 2 swiftech 8-way pwm splitters to connect these fans to my maximus vi formula motherboard, but I am unsure if using one pwm splitter for the 4 radiator fans and the second pwm splitter for the 8 case fans (including the 140mm exhaust) sounds like a good idea.

I'm wondering if this would limit how much control I have over the airflow in the case. Does the 140mm fan function the same as the other fans and would linking them all to be regulated and set at the same rpm sound good? What do you guys think?

Thank you!

I was considering using a fan controller for a while but it seemed to me easier to take advantage of the fans' pwm feature and use asus's fan control software to automatically change rpm during idle/load. Will the headers actually be pressured even when using a pwm splitter powered by the psu? Thanks again.
