Hey everyone,

I have an AMD A10-5800K with 8Gb of Ram and ASROCK A75 Mobo.

Whenever I play Portal 2 or Minecraft (the only games I play), after about 10 minutes of play, my system hard freezes, to the point where I have to hold in the power button to restart. The power supply is some no-brand I picked up at MicroCenter for $20, and I think that might be what is causing the freezing. Could any of you guys confirm this?

Here is a screenshot of some voltage stuff in my BIOS, not entirely sure what it means, but here you go:

the 12v a little low. with apu you have to use a larger after market cooler. the amd cooler is ok for web and light stuff but under heavy load it cant keep the apu cool. you may want to download hardware monitor or a temp monitor and run a game again see how hot the apu gets. if your power supply is a cosair 430w unit it should be fine if it a no name unit i swap it out.

Ok, but I don't think it's heat. I ran Prime95 for 3 Hours with no problem at all.

OK everyone, I have decided to swap out my no-brand PSU. I found a Corsair CX 430W Modular supply on sale for $37.99 after rebate- is this a good unit? Is that a good deal?

Ok, so it actually may be heat, but AMD APU temp sensors have been known to be unreliable. What's a cheap external device I can use to measure my CPU temps externally?
