Just Installed Processor, its making noise

Haha lucky! Installation manuals are your friends. I have built my own gaming PCs successfully for over a decade, but I STILL read the manuals for the critical parts, namely the installation of RAM (to find the right slots), CPU, Heatsink, and last but certainly not least - thermal paste.

What kind of CPU is it? Did you use the stock heatsink? Did you apply thermal paste?

Did you read the instructions? Can you post pictures?

I wouldn't run the CPU anymore until you figure out whats going on. I am starting with basic questions because you didn't post enough info for us to really help you.

Did you assemble the entire PC yourself? Do you have a case speaker?

If you installed a motherboard/case speaker, you should be able to hear a series of beeps if something is horribly wrong with the PC.

all im gonna say is i am the stupidest person in the world as well as the luckiest. i just survived an incorrect install of the cpu. totally put it in the wrong way. i have now put it in correctly and everything is working properly. unfreaking real
