planning to build this system

A $200 graphics card will not be able to produce playable framerates at good settings with a 120hz monitor - it would be fine for a 60hz monitor, but pushing double the frames is a lot harder. Do you really need a blu-ray player? A 650w power supply of reputable make would be a better, cheaper option. Don't waste your money on windows 8 "professional" - it has nothing you need over the standard version and isn't better in any way. If you're buying a fancy keyboard, do it right, and get a good-quality mechanical keyboard. As for the mouse, spend a little more here, too - the razor deathadder BLACK edition is a great option.

That's a great CPU and is able to overclock - there wouldn't be any benefit to getting an i7 for gaming, so you're...

Ok well in a way this is good news, I have a spare 60hz monitor now. I'll probably just plan on getting the better monitor later because I'm going to be getting the GTX 670 for another system. How would the 670's performance be on a 120hz monitor? As for the mouse, that was my choice, I like this style and at the moment I have something similar that works just great for me, but I will consider the deathadder as well.

Ok I've made some changes, let me know if you have any more suggestions as well, much appreciated

P.S. The monitor is just for the future, I probably won't buy it yet, and will just be using the one i have now, so take $150 off that final Total

Keep the caviar black for the better warranty; it's worth it for hard drives. Squirrel's suggestion is good; if you can afford it, a 128gb ssd will make your life much happier. I have a GTX 670 FTW (i.e. basically a 680) and a 120Hz monitor, and am very happy with it; it's just now beginning to get to the point where I'm considering a graphics upgrade because it can no longer max games at ultra and still get 100+ fps. If you know you're going to like that mouse, then by all means, go for it... but I do still highly recommend getting an actual mechanical keyboard than paying through the nose for a keyboard no different than $20 pos's on the inside.
