Hey everyone, does anyone know of any mini itx mother boards that will fit a Noctua NH-U9B SE2 cpu heatsink and graphics card perfectly so there is enough space for air flow inbetween them?? im so confused and i also am looking for a mother board that i can possible overclock and tweek since my I5 core 2500k is already overclocked on my previous computer. As i am just switching cases and getting a new heat sink. Also, i forgot to add i am trying to switch my case to a hadron air by evga.

More about : mini itx heat sink compatability

Any motherboard that is compatible with the 2500K will be compatible with that cooler (these are the sockets compatible with the Noctua NH-U9B SE2: LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA1150, LGA775, AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2; the 2500K is LGA1155). And the cooler will fit in the Hadron Air.

Because that's what will fit in the Hadron Air, and Mini ITX builds fit a certain niche. He probably wants a small PC to fit in a small area or likes to look of a small PC.

Yes, exactly what ihog said. I currently have a mid tower computer and its still pretty massive for space on my table and such. I have been trying to learn more about mini-itx mother boards and their compatability to certain heat sinks, graphics cards etc etc. ihog can i ask you a question? do you know if the 95mm fan on the noctua NH-U9B SE2 will affect the air flow in the computer? im worried there wont be enough CFM inside the computer to compensate if i overclock the computer. This is the build i am sort of trying to follow (not copy). http://www.overclock.net/t/1434841/build-log-mitx-gamin...

Let me know what you guys think if you know please :) !!!

The case itself doesn't really have good airflow. But if you do get that case, make sure the Noctua cooler and its fans are facing upwards so that the 2 fans at the top of the case can exhaust the hot air.
