Just 30 minutes ago, I wrote a thread about why my computer wasn't able to play Red Orchestra 2 on lowest settings ( 800x600 ). They said I needed a new discrete video card, I had a integrated Intel 4000 Hd. Now I redirected myself to this thread and am wondering, what video cards should I get. Heres my specs:

Im planning to spend $200-300.

That card may be on the edge of what your PSU can comfortably handle long term. Since it is over budget anyway, I'd suggest passing on it.
Edit: That was in reference to the R9-280X. I was pulling 312W-321W out of the wall bitmining with a HD7970. Games will probably use a little more than that; the GPU will be less busy, but the CPU will be loaded too (it isn't when mining). So, a HD7970 would probably still be safe, if you don't have a stack of drives, water cooling, or too much bling.

But those 7970 will be way too expensive.
