Hi there ive been trying to fix this problem for 2 days now and i havent been able to find a solution yet.. i had a 750w power supply which i thought was the issue so i swapped it for a 1000w platinum one but it didnt make a difference

i can run most my games in crossfire.. but when i run mark11 (second test) or battlefield 4 (in fullscreen) the computer gets a red screen then restarts. i had it working in boarder less but after messing with more settings i cant even do that

both cards run fine by themselves on either of my pcie x16 or x8
ive set the virtual memory too 10-15 gb on my SSD
ive disbaled ULPS in regedit
thermals arent getting over 65c

COMPUTER SPECS
WINDOWS 8.1
graphic drivers AMD_Catalyst_13.11_BetaV9.4
CPU: i5-4670K 3.4 GHz
GPU1: HIS Raedon HD 7950 IceQ x2
GPU2: XFX Double D FX-975A-TDKC HD 7950 black edition
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws 2x4 8gb 1600hz F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
Power Supply Antec HCP 1000w platinum
Monitor2 Samsung Syncmaster 2253BW
Monitor1 Asus VG248QE 24 inch 144hz
Storage Intel ssdsc2cw120a

any ideas on what else i can do?? when i reinstalled the drivers i already had the second card on the motherboard. the cards arent even being pushed hard when they crash.. it seems like a driver issue. i have never flashed the bios on graphix cards before.. and my xfx doesnt have a dual bios switch.

UPDATE OK so i tried some more things and it seems in crossfire i get worse frame rates then off one card. also when i disable 144hz and go to 60hz in battlefield 4 it works... just isnt as fast as one card though. 144hz was crashing it..

UPDATE 2 at 60hz i can get mark11 to work and im getting 60% increase in graphix card score... hmm then why am i getting less fps in bf4

so i found out that the problem is my monitor and graphics card arent very compatible.. im guessing AMD drivers... anyhow it runs fine now when i set my monitor too 120 hz or lower. i am getting artifacts on the display now. though i think thats from my OC. im getting great scaling but thermals are pretty high when i OC my 7950s too 1100 and GPU too 4.2ghz. even with 8 fans and liquid cooling on cpu

This is very interesting! I was having the same exact problems you were having - I could not figure out for the life of me what was happening...For those who have 144hz, not everyone is running XF/SLI. I'll switch up my monitor settings to 120hz to see if that is what is happening.

Thanks!

edit: THAT IS SO WEIRD!?!? It was crashing because of 144hz!!! Thanks a lot for this info!!!
