Hey guys, new to the forums. Been lurking for a while now, so thought Id sign up. So Im building a gaming pc, and heres what i have so far:

CPU: Intel i7 4770 (?) (max ~$350)
GPU: Asus GTX 780 Direct CUll (?) (max ~$550)
MOBO: Asus 2600 Maximus Vl Formula
RAM: Corair Vengeance Red 8GB 1866MHz (max ~$120)
PSU: OCZ Fatality 750 Watt Modular (max ~$150)
SSD: Sandisk 64GB (Boot)(open)
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (Data)(open)
Case: NZXT Phantom ATX Mid Black (would like to keep)
Cooling: Corsair Hydro Extreme H100i (max ~$150)(Too big?)
Budget: ~$1000-$1500

I would like to keep the red theme going, so keep that in mind when making suggestions. The Mobo is not up for debate :p Also thinking about doing a custom WC loop seeing as the Mobo would look amazing with it. If I go with a unlocked CPU I will be OCing (Kinda trying to resist the urge...). GPU will more than likely be OCed. Case lighting is a plus if anyone has any good suggestions (Alchemy?). Also if anyone know a FULLY modular PSU (including the 24 pin etc) that would save me some time as I plan on individually sleeving the cables (or possibly just getting some bitphoenix Alchemy sleeves, but would like multicolored red/black/grey) or a case VERY good for cable management) I will be playing mostly 1080p games on high to ultra on a single monitor (possibly 2-3 in the near future). Any suggestions for a killer sound system would be nice (Audiophile and will be doing some audio processing, (planning on getting a Xonar within a couple months) eg. FLStudios, Massive, Nexus, Kontact etc...)

Sooo anyone want to point anything out or make suggestions go ahead. I will be ordering on Friday-Sunday from amazon (free 2-day shipping via Prime), have a micro-center nearby as well for cheaper parts (like the GPU...)

Ideally it would be custom WCed, sleeved, case lighting, etc for no more than $1600... Have at it!

You will need to go for the 4770(4th Generation Intel) and not the 3770(3rd Generation Intel) as the motherboard you chose supports socket 1150 and not 1155. Also are you going for the K version CPU or just a normal 4770 etc. If just the normal one then the cooler you chose is kind of overkill. So maybe get that decision sorted out first. I would suggest that you go for a 128GB or similar SSD. 64gb can get filled very quickly. If you plan on doing a custom water cooling system then maybe look at a bigger case or one suited a bit better for it. If you are really planning on going custom water cooling then leave the h100i as it would just be a waste of money then. If you plan to game on 2-3 monitors then you might need to consider gettings another graphics card in the near future. This would require you to get a 900w minimum. 1000w Would be ideal as you feel that you want to overclock etc.

Oops typo. i meant the 4770. yes i will probably be getting the 4770k. the custom water cooling would replace the h100i, but yea i probably should get a bigger case anyways... as for the 2-3 monitors, its not set in stone yet... but i was planning on adding another gpu in the near future (6 months maybe) at which point I would upgrade the PSU. If anyone has any parts that would be better for this build please speak up! this is my second full build (just did an AMD build for a friend, and have helped with various others) anyone have any suggestions for aesthetics?
