Hey I'm building my very first gaming PC and after long nights of research and thoughts I have finally finalized the parts that I'm going to use. However with the recent releases of new GPU's and their benchmarks I have decided to move up to either a GTX 770 or R9 280X from my original choice of GTX 760. My question here is which one of these GPU's works better and I'd preferably like answers that don't prioritize on price but just the on the performance of EITHER the 770 or R9 280X. And please when you compare non-referent models use one of equal or close specs for both cards.
Somethings I'm looking for are user-friendliness (drivers, oc'ing, etc.) and longevity of the card. The main reason I have for ignoring price in this is that I want to finally get a straight answer on if you had a choice to get either card for free, which would you choose?

They are both practically the same.
They trade in different games.
There are 4gig 770's. Which in sli would be a good 4k or 1600p setup.

I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me. But i've only had problems with AMD. Coil whine, drivers, artifacts... ect
I have had good amd cards though also.

Shadowplay is an amazing feature that i use on a regular basis (recording software with 0 performance hit.)

I've also heard great things about g-synch

Mantle has no proven results yet, so it's really hard to base a opinion off of just that.
Geforce experience makes things easy also.
