can windows 8 play latest game and not latest ?

I am using gtx770 4 gb .

I wonder if i upgrade windows 8 will it play below games listed ?

- Latest game

Bioshock infinite
Crysis 3
Battle field 3, and 4
Hitman absolution
Far cry 3
Diablo 3
Sims 3 and 4(upcoming)
Sleeping dogs
Watch dogs(TBA game)
Secret world (mmorpg)


-The less latest or not popular lol

Sudden attack online FPS
Counter strike
Counter strike1.5
Counter strike CZ

If they can play all without driver problem . I scare to lose some FPS and smoothness i had on win 7 ultimate .

It was not a problem that could be fixed with compatibility. You could not install the game. It was a well known issue. I don't know if they fixed it or if it just works in 8.1. I'm not saying you should not get w8 or w8.1. I myself use 8.1. But you may encounter problems.

It will play them all.

Even if you encounter problems you can always play the games in 'compatability mode' which let you play a game as if you had Windows 7.

I actually can play more games on Windows 8.1. I could never get Fallout 3 to work on Windows 7, then I got my hands on Windows 8.1 and it worked flawlessly.

Performance wise the difference between Windows 7 and 8 are minimal. In theory Windows 8 should be better for gaming because it uses less performance to run in the background compared to Windows 7. Yet again, the difference is so small that you will not notice it.

I see . I dint know win 8 is better !

But if it has the problem with games it should fix by update right ?.?..?
