Hi :)

I have a few questions regarding an eyefinity setup that I wanted to try.

So, tonight I purchased a third monitor and an adapter (that was not an 'active' adapter) to finish my 3-monitor setup and to use eyefinity with some games, Only to find out that I need an active adapter to get my setup working.

I will be going back to the store to get my cable refunded tomorow morning, now my question is, instead of purchasing an active adapter, would a Displayport To DVI (or HDMI) cable do the job or does this need to be 'active' as well? Or am I better off ordering a active adapter?

*Just some info about my setup*

- I have a PowerColour 7850 graphics card (exact same model as this Powercolor Graphics card
- I have forgotten the model / name of my monitors but they have a DVI, HDMI and VGA port.
- I am using the catalyst command centre application to setup the eyefinity.

Hi, It has to be an active adapter:
# The first two monitors can connect to the graphics card with any display output on your product: HDMI, VGA, DVI or DisplayPort.
# The third (or greater) display must be connected to the graphics card via DisplayPort.
# If your monitor does not have a DisplayPort connection, you will need an inexpensive active DisplayPort adapter for it. DVI to DP adapters can be had for less than $30 USD.
