Hey guys,

I was looking around and found this motherboard http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/G41C-GS/, I was thinking of getting a new build but afterwards changed minds and decided to go for upgrades, now the cpu I currently have is a lga775 cpu, thats ok, but the mobo says it supports ddr3 and ddr2, and on the specs it says max memory capcity for ddr3 is 8gb, and max for ddr2 is 8gb, does that mean I can get up to 16 gb or in total 8gb?

thanks

Solution
The max for both types of RAM on your mobo is 8GB whether it is DDR2 or DDR3. You cannot mix both types of RAM, therefore you can only have 8GB installed.

wait, it says that ddr2 and ddr3 are suported seperately, does that mean anything to you?
