so i have a Nvidia Geforge 9600gt here is a link to the exact card

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...

randomly my pc will freeze or just lose video signal and BSOD, even though i can't see i get a BSOD message has occured when i restart the PC. im having hard time finding specific drivers for this even though i go right to NVidia's site.

could the card be going bad and is causing these issues or is it a driver problem i have? i have went through like 5 drivers (unsure if they are the right ones i might add) because i always have had a hard time with drivers for this specific card.

ps. im not installing random drivers either, i just have tried multiple drivers claiming to be for the card i have.

More about : gpu bsod

Your 9600GT may be seeing its last days. And constantly reinstalling drivers don't help. Denial is heartbreaking :(

This happened with my old GT card when I attempted to play Unreal Tournament, I would get a lovely purple screen, sometimes PC freezes, or BSODs or a combination of the 2 of the 3.

I am sure if you google NVIDIA Geforce 9600GT, I am sure you would find the drivers for them (if you haven't already)

Lastly, sometimes you may need to just reseat the GPU, to ensure its in the socket fully. If the issues continue to occur. I would put my money on a failing GPU.

Hope this helps!
