I'm starting to hate PC.. i've recently bought a new GPU (7850) just to see the new graphics of FC3,AC4,BF4,CoD, but new problem showed the "Screen Tearing", FPS lock,etc.... so is a PS3 better option than PC? will i get those kinds of errors? is it harder to play FPS or any other games with joystick?

Solution

There are Beta drivers ofc. i always run the latest beta drivers, you could check if your chipset needs to be updated or if there is a BIOS that mentions your problem.

FIRST: check if you installed the game in Program Files and not in Program Files (x86). If you dont have the x86 folder at...

No that GPU is the equivalent of a ps4, what system specs do you have? did you download the newest drivers from the AMD site for your GPU?.

Have you had a nvidia card before this one? please give more information.

- Yes it is harder to play with joystick, your always playing better with a mouse and keyboard, in most games you can play with joystick as well on PC.

FPS games with a console controller are essentially garbage. People say they are pretty good with them but any attempts at getting console players and PC players together has resulted in the console players being destroyed on a rather grand scale.

Screen tearing is fixed by turning v-sync on. I don't know what you mean by FPS lock, but if you mean your FPS caps at 60 when you have V-Syn on then yes the console will have the same problem. You just won't notice as much since it's probably running slower and the graphics are cranked way down to lower than low on the PC so that it will actually run.

Consoles have one advantage only, and that is simplicity. Other than that there really is no reason to own one if you have a gaming PC.

Its the old CPU thats hurting you, but be sure to check if you have gotten rid of ALL nvidia programs. ussualy one nvidia program can be found.

If not, then in reply to the other post, test with V-sync on and off and if a game has for example MXAA or something like that turn that off, it adds nothing to the game quality and improves FPS big time.

I personally only have V-sync on in older games, V-sync makes your GPU run on lower settings if the GPU has overhead, V-SYNC OFF<< would be your choice.

My wife has an i5 haswell and same GPU, she can play any game no problem.

Just as bad on Consoles, but they bring them out a bit later for PC because people will download less and have the urge to buy it for console.

Another reason is, lots of people are a big fan of a game for example, they will buy it for console because they cant wait and then buy it for PC for the graphics.

Result: profit doubles.

Yeah i'm aware that my CPU is slow, but i can't afford getting new one(maybe in future). Aboult the tearing,i tried vsync which fixes it,but it shows another problem that mouse lag... is there a way to fix it aswell? and anyone got any idea when the new AMD Drivers will be released?

FIRST: check if you installed the game in Program Files and not in Program Files (x86). If you dont have the x86 folder at all, that means you are not running 64Bit windows at all.

Be sure to have 64 bit windows and as mentioned, you install games in the Program Files folder. If you dont install themt here, the game will run in 32 bit mode.

and last! does increasng mouse sensitivity ingame result in improvement?

Wow actually moving it to :C -> Program Files worked :) the 30FPS lock is fixed, and i can play it even better with vsync enabled :) thanks you're awesome :) And i also think aboult moving all my games to Local Disk C-> Program Files. I got 1TB HDD but only 100 GB to C and 800 to D.... do you know a way to send GB from D to C without reinstalling Windows?

Never install on C, why would you, 100gb is fine for C.
Why not D: Program Files i have 1TB HDD as well, and 128gb SSD for OS which is my C?.

If the folder does not exist on D, just create it ;), Mind the capitol letters.

Anywayz happy for you i could help you out! hows the game now compared to PS3 graphics? LOL!
how many actually dont know about the Program Files folder! its crazy! just helped a friend out with the same issue some time ago.

I find it frustrating that games dont automaticly install in the 64 bit folder while detecting that the OS is 64 bit. So yeah! dilemma's here for sure.
