I want to buy Call Of Duty Ghosts to play on ultra settings but currently I'm having a bad CPU and a bad GPU. So for christmas I will buy a Geforce GTX 780 GPU and then buy a Intel Core i7 CPU later on (January/Februay 2014). Can I install the GTX 780 on december and play with it until I get a new CPU or will my currently CPU bottleneck it?

Specs:
Currently using CPU:
GPU: AMD A-10 APU 5700-SERIES (3.4 GHz)
Ram: 16 GB
OS: Windows 8.1

More about : cpus gpus

it will be pretty big bottleneck for such powerfull video card...
you will notice big performance difference
but in cpu more intensive games gtx780 will be very limited...
apu are weak cpus for gaming , even quad cores...

That CPU will bottleneck a single high end GPU.

The good news is the CPU matters less with BF3/4. GPU in crossfire or SLI with a CPU strong enough to push it will work well.

If you rebuild, I suggest at least an i5 4760k or FX 6350 for a single GPU.

For crossfire or SLI, an i7 4670k or FX 8350.

If you can, put a good cooler on the CPU and overclock it a bit. This will help.
