Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a problem that I couldn't find the solution anywhere, so I decided to ask here.

I have an old computer that is working well.
The specs are:
Motherboard : Biostar P4M890-M7 FE
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_...
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4600
VGA Card: Geforce 8600GT
PSU: Cooler Master 550W

1. I decided to replace the graphic card with my other old Geforce 8800GT, but then the computer did not even boot, the screen is blank and no POST at all.

2. I put the 8600GT back, and the computer boots up and working normally.

3. I thought that the 8800GT is broken, so I went out and bought a brand new Quadro K600 and replace the 8600GT. Same thing happened again, blank screen and not booting up (No POST).

4. Then I replaced it back to the old 8600GT, and the computer boots up normally and working well.

What could have caused this problem? This is really driving me nuts.

Any thoughts please? Thank you.

I see this mobo has an intergrated GPU. Just to eliminate the possibility, go into your BIOS and turn off the intergrated GPU. Ensure that you are seating the GPU properly and if you have another PC to test the GPU in question, just to rule out a faulty GPU.

Also, does your keyboard lights flash? Let us know!

Yeah, the keyboard light flash once right after I press the power button. The VGA Cards work on other PC. Just tried it out. I have set the BIOS to PCI Express
