Suddenly, when I came home today, I found that my computer no longer works :??:. Here's some key facts..

  • Plugging the power lead into the power supply makes a cracking noise (normal), so there is power definitley being fed into the power supply.
There is absolutely no response from the computer
Motherboard lights do not work or turn on at all
    No fans spin or anything
Monitor is turned on but no signal
None of my USB devices are receiving any power
I was using some socks4/5 proxies last night via a java app, could this be a virus? If so, how do i solve?

I've tried changing the fuse on the cable. If anyone has any idea please help me.. It was working yesterday and I did not turn it off but came home to it in a dead state.

Ether your motherboard or PSU, if you have an extra PSU try plugging it into your motherboard to see if any lights power on. Look for any burn marks on your MB. I had a similar problem but I am running 2 graphics and when I have my second card plugged in, my computer shuts down, maybe try unplugging your graphics and see if that works as well.
