I am currently making the move from console to pc and would prefer building a pc to just buying one. I have some knowledge about hardware but not enough to build the best pc I can with the money I have.
I would like to be able to play bf4, Arma 3, natural selection 2 and Dayz standalone if it comes out before I die. I have no preferences about AMD or Intel, whichever will work best for the games i want to play. I will need an os but i do have a keyboard mouse and monitor. I don't plan on overclocking at least for a long long time. I plan on incrementally upgrading the hardware as time goes on.

So two AMD and two intel builds I am tempted by the Intel because I wouldn't need an upgrade for a while but If I went the AMD route I wouldn't need to upgrade my gpu for a while... hmm.
