Hello guys im here to ask for an opinion about these three coolers to replace the reference design cooler of the AMD R9 290.

Arctic's Accelero Xtreme III (65 euros) vs Gelid Icy Vision rev2 (40 euros) vs Prolimatech MK-26 ( 61 euros)

Please tell me what you think

Kind regards.

Prolimatech MK-26 is the best among three..
but it came without fans..
You must buy your own fans, that's mean a stretching budget..

Arctic's Accelero Xtreme III is best bang of buck, provide excellent cooling and low noise..toms already review it..http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/r9-290-accelero-xtr...

actually the cheapest one, gelid icy vision, still much better than stock cooling..at least no throttle issue with this cooler.

Oh and Quaddro, iv heard people talking about the heatsinks falling off from that gelid icy vision, the double side tape that comes isnt that good, so I have searched and some people talk about this "Arctic Alumina epoxy" but I guess when I put it its like permanently, do you know anything about this?

Kind regards

AF fans slightly better than SF..
well, both of that fans is excellent..don't forget to get a performance edition.

actually i'm using yateloon OEM fans to cool my old mk-13. cheap, but still a good fans.

Artic alumina epoxy, is permanent thermal glue..
it's better to use a thermal tape rather something permanent like that..you'll not use that card forever, right..? :D
something like akasa thermal adhesive tape will do this job for you.

Yup..
waterblock is better..
but remember about gpu vrm..make sure you can keep this area cool too...

with prolimatech, fan is facing gpu and blow wind to cool all component below it...

or, a gpu block with 2 fan facing your graphic card will do excellent job..
