I have a new Seagate 2TB Desktop SSHD SATA III w/ 64MB Cache that I will be using for media storage. Out of the box I plugged it into my Vantec NexStar Hard Drive Dock and then proceeded to format the drive in NTFS with one single partition. Sadly, this was about 36+ hours ago and it is still going, currently around 75% complete.
What the heck is going on? I've never seen a format take this long...
