My HP 2000 notebook laptop will not work with my wireless HP printer 3056A?

When I try to install the printer software HP 3056A on my laptop HP 2000 it tell me my operating
system must be XP, Vista, Windows or higher. My laptop is running Windows 8. I would think
it should upload to my laptop. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

Compatibility mode often will allow you to install.

Use the Windows 7, either 32 or 64 bit driver, depending on your Windows 8 version -- but prior to install right click on the installer package and select properties, then the compatibility tab and select Windows 7 compatibility. Then run the installer with a double click.
