The 660Ti is fine and not really all that old. I got my GTX 680 right after they came out around the first week of June '12. I think the 660Ti came out after that. As for the motherboard, the biggest issue would be the Processor and it will run a Phenom II,

gonna need a power supply...and a hard drive...and a case....missing quite a bit of stuff, as for newegg try and wait for special deals to come out on your parts, save yourself quite a bit of money. BTW 66ti is a pretty old GPU now

I have a power supply and 4 hard drives and a case. as for the GTX660Ti i'm poor and can't afford to upgrade often. my current motherboard uses DDR2 ram and only a max of 4GB

well if your max is 4gb then you won't be able to get 8gb, I would recommend upgrading your mobo because that is pretty pathetic
