Router media disconnected

I have recently been having a lot of problems with my modem/router configuration. My modem works fine when accessing internet straight through it, but when i connect to my router, it says that it is an unidentified network. I tried ipconfig, but all ipconfig said was media disconnected. I also went into my device manager, network adapters, and my router isn't showing up. please help, its desperate.

if it failing and a hard reset is not working...try updating the firmware to see if it a firmware that damaged before you have to replace the router.

I tried updating firmware with no avail, and i decided to try replacing the internet cord and that didn't work either

on the back. turn the power off find the reset button. hold it in and do a hard reset see if anything changes.

hard reset didn't help.
