awesome thanks though seriously don't think i need that powerful of a graphics card. XD oh and any cpu coolers you'd recommend read that stock coolers are horrible.

the 280x is the replacment for the 7970 ghz cards. the 7950 is under it here.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127737&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
then the 7870 ghz cards and the 270x.

If you want to keep the price down, use an i5 3350p and a cheap ish board.
It will handle any game playably for the next 3 yrs, tho you might not get 60 fps in one or two games. If you are not going mad on graphics, this makes even more sense.
It will 'surfice ' to the point of grinning chops.
I doubt there is anything it wont minimum at 30 fps on reasonable settings. .
BTW, tho locked, it can be turned up to 3.7 gig in turbo boost.
