Hi, I'm currently stress testing my 4670K with IBT, but I've been seeing load temps of up to 100 degrees! But, idling, it is at 25-31 degrees Celsius. It seems that cores 1-3 run hotter than core 4, which is usually lower by about 3 degrees. I have a Corsair H100 closed-loop "watercooler". I reapplied thermal paste (Ceramique 2, yes, I know, not the best) and reseated the waterblock.
OC Settings:
4.5 @ 1.2 volts (still stress-testing)

Other components:
MSI Z87-G45
ASUS 650 Ti BOOST
HAF 912 case
Windows 8.1

EDIT: Could it be that RealTemp is not correctly displaying the tempurature? And it seems that Blend on Prime95 gives me about 70 degrees Celsius.

More about : idle temps low 100 load 100 degrees

try checking the temps under full load (using games, not ibt), ibt is known to push the cpu temps really high, i dont think it will go that high in actual usage

Oh, OK! Thanks, it does seem that Linpack does stress computers quite a lot.
