Hey, I'm building a computer which I hope to use for gaming! I'm extremely new to building computers and would like some people to review my build. I mostly looking for advice about compatibility and the quality of products, but any other advice is welcome! Thanks in advance!

Here is what I have been looking at:

All together this costs around $$2,025.39. (Prices have might shifted.)

I found a sale on the case and Optical Drive, so I have ordered those already. By the time you read this I probably will have ordered the GPU and PSU.

I was looking at this monitor, this mouse, and this keyboard:

(Keyboard) Logitech G710 PLUS USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard- Cherry MX Brown: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126299

(Mouse) Razer DeathAdder 2013 Ergonomic PC Gaming Mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153114

These raise the price to about $2455.37.

Again thank you for your help!

Well, first thing, don't order that PSU.

:edit: Ok, had to say that. The case is pretty much up to you anyways. We can make recommendations, but at the end of the day it's mostly a matter of personal preference.

What shouldn't be a matter for personal preference is the minimum quality of parts in the build. That Psu doesn't cut it. The wattage is fine, it's the quality of manufacture that isn't. Stick with Corsair(non-CX series), SeaSonic, Xfx, OCZ, Pc Power and Cooling, or Antec for this part.

Don't bother with getting an I7 if the main purpose for the rig is gaming. There isn't any reason to go beyond an I5 for gaming performance. Same thing, don't bother getting more than 8gb's of memory either. Also, don't pay a premium...

Same thing, don't bother getting more than 8gb's of memory either. Also, don't pay a premium for ram faster than 1600mhz. Sometimes you can find a deal on 1866mhz, or 2133mhz and that is great, but don't pay much for it. Also, don't buy ram with a CAS latency higher than 9. I'd rather have 1866mhz, CAS 9 ram than 2133mhz, CAS 11.

For that price point on the video card, I'd seriously start to look at the 290x. It's louder, uses more power, but it runs faster too. Wait a while, and you'll get non-reference design coolers that will make the standard one look like a last generation part.

Standard 1TB HDD, good. Stick with the Samsung 840 Evo for your SSD, the Pro is great, and fast, but not worth the price over the Evo.

Can't really say much bad about the motherboard, if you like it, and are ok with the cost, get it. You could save some money though.

The cooler isn't bad. I'd rather spend some more, and get the NZXT Kraken x60, or pony up 160 dollars and buy an XSPC Raystorm kit. 280mm preferably.

In my opinion, Razer mice (and products) are made pretty cheaply, but if you want that mouse, more power to you. Would recommend a Corsair M65 (have only heard good things about that mice).

As said above, don't get that PSU. I would get a Corsair HX850.

There's also a lot of money wasted in this build if your primary focus is gaming.

i5-4670k + 8GB for gaming. i7-4770k + 16GB for rendering and the like.

I personally don't like water cooling as much, as you can get relatively good or better performance with a great air cooler such as the Noctua NH-D14.

The list I generally use(http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx) lists that Psu as a tier 3. I wouldn't trust those parts to a tier 3 Psu.

Thank you all for the feedback! I'm thinking of going with a new PSU. I was looking at these to get instead:

CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-139-010&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Keywords=%28keywords%29&Page=1#scrollFullInfo
CORSAIR AX series AX860 860W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-139-044&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=4#scrollFullInfo

What other PSUs are worth looking into? I hear that several of the better ones (especially the AX860) have coil whine problems.
