I am getting ready to build my first computer. I have decided on some components, but not all and it's essential I order the correct parts because I am living in a foreign country and returning parts will be close to impossible.

So far I have decided on the following: (I am not installing an HDD or Optical Drive)

Case: ??

MB: Asus Mini-iTx Z87I-PRO iBORA

RAM: G.SKILL DDR3 8G PC3-19200

GPU: AMD R-280x

CPU: Intel i5 4670K

PSU: ???

HD: Samsung 840 Evo SSD 250MB

Now, i have a few questions about the build. One, as far as overclocking is concerned, are the RAM, GPU, and CPU good choices. I know a bit about RAM speeds, but have heard that overclocking RAM can make little to no difference at all. Maybe this particular RAM selection is overkill.

Secondly, I am between the Bitfenix Prodigy and the CoolerMaster 130 for cases. I've seen reviews and understand their differences pretty well, but I am interested in water-cooling so I am leaning towards the BfP.

Lastly, I need to be spot on with the PSU i buy and im guessing that i'll need around 600W to OC.

I would do a DIY water-cooling system, but the parts are hard to come by so I would need to settle for all-in-one parts, though I get the impression that if you want to run water to a block on your GPU it is only DIY.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

looks like a nice case for itx build with sealed water or tower cooler.
for ram look at the gskills aries 1866 1.5v ram. if you can get it for the same price as 1600 speed.
cosair or seasonic or a seasoinc rebranded unit will be fine.

Unfortunately it looks like that case is not available here in Korea at the moment.

I am considering putting off the water-cooling until I am home as many of the components are easier to order from the states, as well as this being my first build i should probably settle for a closed loop corsair 120mm water cooler on the CPU and then customize more later.

I am quite worried about buying a good PSU, however. Should i need over a 550? Also hoping for semi-modular or modular.

Thanks.

a good 650w will be fine. with power supplys it the cpu voltage and the max voltage of the gpu on the 12v rail. the power supply 12v rail wattage and amps rating should be 100w more then a power supply est comes up with. some people over kill there ps and use a 750w units.

Wow, thank you for all of the links; I'm sure more than a third of those are available here. Thanks again for the links.
