I'm buying a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p, and I purchased the model with a single GT750M, not knowing that there was an option to buy this computer with a GT755M SLI. The thing is, the 750M was $950 bucks, which is super cheap. The 755M SLI is $1200. Is it worth it to return the one I bought and order the higher end Y510p? Or would the graphics not improve all that much, at least for $300?

The computer is 1920x1080, by the way. I want to be able to play games like Battlefield 4, Titanfall, and League of Legends on ultra, or high settings, with a good FPS. Will the 750M be able to do this for me, or will I really need more..?

Solution
Battlefield 4 1080p Ultra requires a card around the 760 mark, lower if you don't mind FPS dips occasionally. If you mean 'computer' as in, desktop, then thats why, 'M' cards are usually half as fast.

Yes I'd suggest returning it, its another 30% for a near doubling of performance. But, if gaming is a big deal, a $1300 desktop would get you one hell of a setup.
If you are expecting those games to run at high at 1080p you have been lied to. Anyways, 755M is a faster 750M, having two of them means about another 80% performance, if you care about gaming, get the SLI one. I'd imagine battery life will be about 10 minutes though, assuming you aren't just going to plug it in when gaming.

I've been on friends computers that have much worse graphics cards that play the game on ultra at 1080p, so I don't see why they wouldn't run. So the $300 dollars would make a drastic difference in the gaming?
Yes I'd plug the laptop in, by the way.

No he actually has a laptop with a 650M I believe, and I'm almost positive it was 1080p ultra, running perfectly.

I wish I could get a desktop, unfortunately I love the mobility of laptops. :( Man.. tough decision, I didn't think it would make that big of a difference.
