Hi Everyone,

I bought a whole gaming rig from a friend months ago. I questioned here before for which graphic card should i go for more performance, I had 1 GTX680 and got another for SLI.

My case is Thermal Take Overseer and has a side panel 200mm optional fan. I thought it would be a good idea since it'll cool my SLI setup.
I realized that my CPU cooler Noctua NH-D14 is so huge that i can't even think of putting anything else in my case.

The weight of the cooler made me worried that it might damage the motherboard or something since its so damn heavy. I want to know that if i should change my cooler to water cooling like Corsair H110 or etc for the weight that worries me.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply. So even in a long run it should be fine then? I don't plan on changing or upgrading my pc for a long time.

As long as your don't do anything stupid everything should be alright. Sitting straight up for 5 years should be alright. Knocking the case down on its side is a different story. That is common sense with a HSF that heavy. Under normal conditions, I have never heard of people having trouble with it.

I can still play games with my soon to be 6 year old Q9450 and my 4 year old Radeon HD 5850. :)

I use a mix of medium and high or simply high graphic settings for 1920 x 1200 resolution.
