I'm looking for the optimal motherboard for a AMD Fx-6300

I've got these three I'm looking at right now

The Gigabyte

The Asus

and

The Msi

Normally, I would choose the Asus, but I'm on a budget with this one, and if I wouldn't see much of a difference between the boards, I'd want to go with the cheapest one. Or if there is another better one that would fit in the balance between price and performance, that would be great.

Thanks!

The build quality and "bang for your buck" is almost always better with Gigabyte than Asus or MSI, though i'd pick Asus over MSI. The RMA rates don't lie:
*As of Oct. 30th 2013
- Gigabyte 1.43%
- MSI 1.83%
- ASUS 1.86%

In this case, with the Gigabyte vs. Asus specs being equal, and the Gigabyte on sale, it's a no-brainer. Gigabyte all the way :)

The only reason to chose the MSI out of those 3 is if you plan to SLI/Xfire GPUs since the MSI has an additional 4 lanes on the second x16 slot.

Gigabyte d3 series..:D
well, better to read this "personal" review...:D => http://forums.duke4.net/topic/6787-what-a-piece-of-shit-gigabyte-ga-970a-ud3-review/
gigabyte low end (3) series is not good as it's look..

MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ is a real crap..vrm burn, just limited to six core cpu, and if you pair with it, you can't overclock due to msi low vrm quality..
(read this review at post #4 => http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=52135)

and you should read this article about motherboard vrm issue..
http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboards-vrm-info-database

get the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+
it's a pretty decent motherboard for budget user.
Fair overclocking ability, good 4+2 power phase, and no issue with fx processor..

well, you should read this article too..:D
list of fail motherboard..

2 of 3 your link is about customer fault..:D

All my link give you information about quality of product..:)
ud3/d3 series is troublesome, and msi MSI 970A-G46 is crap.
Both of that is a low quality product..
And asus have no trouble despite higher price..:D

Dude, please do a research before you make other people miss lead, and please offer a realistic advice.;)

Note: I'm using biostar ta990fxe..:D

Biostar, now there's a quality board! :D

As for my research, it's sound. I won't argue about the MSI, but the Gigabyte post was nothing more than some guy complain that he didn't get a high-end board for $60. That's it lol And some of his complaints are just ignorant, such as the first PCIe x16 slot not being the very first slot. Every manufacturer has boards like that, some even considered high-end. I mean seriously...

Anyway, you want an example of poor Asus product quality. Here's 1 of 979k: http://www.pissedconsumer.com/reviews-by-company/asus/asus-product-quality-is-poor-20130618420874.html

hehe

In all seriousness though, rule #1 about product feedback is 20 people will complain before 1 person says something nice. That's just how it goes and odds are the OP would have no issues with either board.

Well, the cheapest 990FX.
Good quality vrm, with a simple trick this board have a good overclocking ability despite analogue vrm, and well, bad layout.
But no complain here. :)

I've run fx8350 at 4.6 Ghz and give me zero issue..;)

The point is not just about layout..something more technical. :)

And please note, the complain is about ud3. Something more advance and suppose to have higher quality rather than only d3 series.
If something that suppose to be higher quality have a such problem, well, you can imagine how about a lower quality will work..:D

well, read more, that's not just more than one person complain about gigabyte 3 class quality..;)

Please stick to the topic..:)
your link is about laptop..not about m5a97 r.2 motherboard quality as OP ask..

So what I'm getting out of this is that the msi is just bad, and I shouldn't bother with it. The asus is pretty good, and the gigabyte is a cheaper board in quality and price. So is the gigabyte bad enough to warrant getting an extra $30 for a more expensive board? I guess I'd rather spend more to get something I would have less problems with, but it's pushing it. Thanks for all the feedback guys!
