My board is chipset is AMD 780, bios 0504, using Athlon II X2 220 65w, and has the name as shown in the title. (the long name in the title is from the sticker stuck in the board.)
I did some research on my board; only found the 760, not 780.(couldn't find my board anywhere
)According to 760, it will support AM3+ and 95w; therefore with the similar specs, (or may be higher with extra 20 on the chipset
) my board will support FX and its voltage.I am considering buying FX6300 (with its six-core, hope it will do great on gaming and won't have to upgrade the processor any time soon).
Do you guys think it will work? Or are there any other things that I'll need to upgrade to use it? (as of psu and mb) I'm quite affraid that I will buy this thing and couldn't use it because it is not supporting.
p.s. And would someboby please varify what kind of board am I having??
