I ditched the CPU cooler and thermal paste. You aren't going to be doing any serious overclocking on a $10 cooler, you might as well stick with the stock one. Alternatively, spend a bit more for something like a Hyper 212 Evo.

If you want to go fancier with the motherboard, you can swap the one below for a 970 Extreme 4. Right now there is a combo discount of $20 with this memory and that motherboard, makes it pretty well priced.

For a graphics card, I'd probably go for a HD7950 as they start at $220 (only $10 more), but to sneak it under the budget I dropped to a fairly similar HD7870XT.

Your PSU is very good, but the deal on the Capstone makes it hard to ignore.

The cpu cooler is a little different to anything I have seen b4 . Have you read some reviews?

Ditch the arctic silver . Its not even a good paste let alone a premium one . Ideally use the one that ships with whatever cooler you buy

Use a dual channel RAM kit . 2 x4 gig not 1 x 8 gig

The Radeon R7 260X is a rebadged 7790
Its possible to buy a more powerful 7850 for less

The Corsair 200R case is $30
