How to increase dedicated video memory?

So i have a dell laptop with 4gb of RAM,Intel HD graphics 4000 and 1696 mb of available graphics memory but i get only 64 mb of dedicated video memory. People asked me to increase it's size using the BIOS SETUP but in my bios, i can't find the option as they said. So i wanted to know if theres another way to increase this or another way to make the option available in the Bios

  1. Laptop BIOS will not allow you to do that, so unless there is a software way to do it, you can't. Anyway, isn't dynamic memory usage based on needs?

  3. thanks for your help
  4. doesnt really matter, it doesnt actually have any "dedicated" video memory, it uses system memory still. it just sets aside a 64mb portion of system memory as "dedicated memory". it is also dynamic and will increase that 64mb depending on its needs.
