windows xp home edition dont wana display on sreen what can be the problem

hi can anyone give me advise via email ,when i switch on my pc the green light ,fan came on but the key board mouse are off and show a black srceen what can be the problem my email address tibo95@yahoomail.com plz guys help my out..thanx:pt1cable:

Do you still get a single beep when you switch on, or not? The single beep means all the vital hardware is okay, no beep at all could mean a faulty motherboard.
